It is evident that etiopathogenesis of erectile dysfunction and heart disease is similar. This means that both the causes and mechanisms by which these disease processes occur in the body share a lot in common. Therefore if anybody has Erectile dysfunction, it is commonly advisable for a complete evaluation to be done before starting any therapy. This evaluation may include an ECG (Electrocardiogram). Very early changes in ECG will be helpful in picking up early cases of heart disease and will allow early intervention. Abnormal or sub optimal ECG will also indicate which medicines can or cannot be given to treat Erectile Dysfunction.
